En las escuelas y en casa, se nos ha instruido en como sobrevivir a nuestro ciclo menstrual pero no se nos facilita una educación o acompañamiento sobre como disfrutar de vivir de nuestro tiempo ciclico.
Solo por citar y desmitificar algunas de las muchas instrucciones que podemos recibir: menstruar es mas que saber usar una compresa o un tampón, menstruar es mucho mas que «sólo» un proceso fisiológico explicado en un obsoleto libro de biología, nuestro ciclo menstrual abarca mas que saber cuando debemos cuidarnos para no embarazarnos, nuestra sexualidad va mas allá del mero acto sexual y de lo que «podemos/debemos» esperar de este…
La educación menstrual/sexual incluye conocer, no solo el aspecto físico-biológico de nuestra anatomía sexual, sino también los pensamientos, las emociones, la sexualidad, los cambios corporales, la intuición, la espiritualidad, las necesidades sociales… en todas sus variantes arquetípicas.
